Leicester-based independent management, design and construction consultancy Pick Everard will give a local charity a boost at its annual regatta event next month (June).
The firm is the main host for the event which has run for more than 50 years and will once again link with Rutland Sailability – a charity which provides disabled people with training and support to allow them to enjoy sailing.
This year’s event will take place at Rutland Water on 26 June and will bring together teams and individuals from the property and construction industry across the UK to take part in the regatta.
Duncan Green, managing partner at Pick Everard, said: “It’s great to host this event again this year and continue the history of ICE. The regatta has run for more than half a century , and each year we have around 60 boats competing against one another.
“Once again, we will be supporting Rutland Sailability to help raise some much-needed funds for what is an extremely worthwhile cause. Sailing is a wonderful pastime and the charity works tirelessly to give disabled people the opportunity to enjoy it, and we are delighted to be able to support its work for a second year.”
The event is open to anyone connected with the construction industry, sailing a dinghy with a registered PY and entry is priced at £30.
Teams are to be comprised of three boats made up of individual sailors from the same company – only one member of each crew needs to work for the entered company. The event takes place on 26 June at Rutland Sailing Club.
