A demolition and recycling company is expanding and has taken an industrial unit at West Hallam Industrial Park in Derby, in a deal secured by Innes England.
The Derby property agent acted on behalf of the site operator to let an industrial unit of 3,360 sq ft, plus external space on a new lease to Direct Reclaims and Demolition Ltd.
Direct Reclaims was previously located in Derby city centre, but was attracted by the 24-hour security gatehouse, cost effective rent and flexible lease terms, together with the ability to expand on site as and when required.
Karl Fletcher, managing director of Direct Reclaims and Demolition Ltd, said: “Due to expansion we needed to find new accommodation to allow for our increasing number of employees and also for our vehicles, plant machinery and our reclamation yard.
“We currently employ around 12 people, but business is going well, and we needed somewhere which would allow for more growth over the next few years. West Hallam was ideal for us, as it is also easily accessible, and close to both Derby and Nottingham.”

We are now in detailed discussions with two other parties for additional space. West Hallam Industrial Park is a 120-acre site providing self-contained industrial units from 3,360 sq ft to 6,720 sq ft, or larger in combination. It is situated approximately four miles north east of Derby, therefore being well placed to serve the local area including Derby and Nottingham, and having access to the M1 at junction 25 via the A52 or J26 via Ilkeston and the A610.
The site provides additional on-site services including 24-hour security including CCTV and manned gatehouse. External storage plots and parking are also available.
