Cooper Green Pooks of Shrewsbury, principal selling agents for Shrewsbury Business Park, are pleased to report that Handelsbanken have agreed a deal to move across the park into brand new office accommodation towards the end of 2015. Their new building will be housed on Anchorage Avenue and establishes the beginning of Phase II, a £30 million expansion to one of Shropshire’s largest Business Parks, which could create up to 1,500 new jobs.
The developer of Shrewsbury Business Park, Alaska Property Group, has been given planning permission for its Second Phase extension by Shropshire Council. The plans will see 17 new units built, providing approx. 15,000 sq m of office space as well as a new convenience store and restaurant. There will also be 565 parking spaces while a second access road has now formed off Wenlock Road.
Handelsbanken first moved to Shrewsbury Business Park in 2008 and have steadily increased their profile in the county. Following the addition of new staff the branch is now ready to relocate to larger, self-contained and more modern premises. The move will give them the perfect platform to continue to provide their customers with the personalised service that has been so successful locally but also throughout the UK.
Alessio Dyfnallt of Cooper Green Pooks, who handled the letting on behalf of Alaska Property Group, said “We are delighted that one of Shrewsbury Business Park’s long standing occupiers has decided to continue their association with the Park. It demonstrates that the Park is able to attract regional, national and international firms thus retaining a corporate and professional feel but within a friendly and pleasant environment. We can offer size ranges from around 2,000 sq ft up to 30,000 sq ft and so anyone wanting to explore what Phase II has to offer should contact us.”
