Leading recruitment and training company Acorn has made a key promotion to further strengthen its established presence in the South West.
Stephen Potter has been appointed as a Business Development Manager and will be responsible for raising Acorn’s profile and brand across the region.
39-year-old Stephen from Barnstaple, North Devon, has more than 16 years’ experience in business development.
Stephen previously worked for Blue Arrow Staffing Solutions as a branch manager where he was responsible for running the industrial, construction and transport divisions as well as negotiating contracts with new clients.
In his new role at Acorn, Stephen will be responsible for identifying and converting new business opportunities whilst targeting potential clients.
Speaking about his new role, Stephen said: “I am very excited to be working for Acorn. With my local knowledge and experience, I believe that I will be able to make a significant contribution to their wider business development plans for the South West.
“I find the opportunity to work under one of the region’s leading brands very exciting and I am also looking forward to meeting and working with established and prospective clients in the near future.”

With over 20 years in the business, Acorn operates from 38 branches across Wales and England, placing up to 6,500 people into the workplace with around 850 different clients each week. The group also delivers training to more than 1,000 individuals and makes 1,700 permanent placements every year.
