The Liverpool industrial agency team at CBRE has sold the 57,996 sq ft former Hansen Glass unit in Knowsley Industrial Park to Studley Engineering Limited for £1 million. Darren Hill at CBRE advised the vendor and Mark Coulthurst at Mason Owen acted on behalf of Studley Engineering.
The manufacturing facility is located on Hornhouse Lane in the established Knowsley Industrial Park close to J4 of the M57. The unit was operated as a manufacturing facility by Hansen Glass until the sale to Studley Engineering was concluded.
Studley Engineering Limited is a Mechanical & Electrical services provider to the processing industries and has relocated from Vulcan Street/Vandries Street in Liverpool city centre due to expansion.
Darren Hill, Associate Director at CBRE, commented; “There has been a flurry of activity for second hand space of this type during 2014 and it comes down to a lack of readily available stock to satisfy requirements, which is indicative of the returning confidence to the sector. It is pleasing to see companies like Studley not only growing but also investing within the region”
Mark Coulthurst, at Mason Owen, continued, “We were delighted to be able to identify alternative premises of sufficient size & to negotiate their acquisition on behalf of Studley Engineering Ltd who are now in a position to pursue their proposed expansion & business development programme within Merseyside”.
Howard George at B8 Real Estate acted as joint agent alongside CBRE.
