A local Nottingham taxi firm, Trent Cars have taken occupation of a 4,500 ft2 hybrid detached building in a deal negotiated by Sunny Landa of NG Chartered Surveyors.
The firm are relocating from their three existing depots in Top Valley, Sneinton and Canal Street into a refurbished property at the bottom of Carlton Hill. The taxi firm employs over 25 staff and has over 200 cars on call throughout the city. John Shaw, Managing Director, commented: ”We had been looking for new premises for quite a long time until we came across this one that was perfect for our requirements. After one viewing we were eager to obtain the property due to its excellent location plus the office space and design was just what we were looking for. Trent Cars are not just a taxi company, we also provide minibuses and executive transport and the new location will enable us to run all our operations from one building with plans to recruit more staff and expand the business in the future.”
The building which was previously occupied by Scottish and Southern Energy was carefully enhanced by current owners Hills plc, by erecting a large extension to the rear which will now provide the main hub for Trent Cars control room. The accommodation provides a good quality working environment, with heating and cooling, new suspended ceilings, lighting, new carpets and decoration.
Sunny Landa from NG Charted Surveyors commented: “It is excellent news that this property has been taken by such a fitting occupier, it was as if the building was made for Trent Cars. The property delivers an excellent working environment which I think helped minimise the incentive package that we had to give away in order to make the deal happen.”
The property was jointly marketed with Ramsdens Charted Surveyors.
