Mapeley is pleased to announce they have secured a significant letting in Newton Abbot to the NHS Trust, at the recently refurbished second floor of Sherborne House, Courtenay Street.
The agreement, which is one of the largest lettings in Newton Abbot this year, is for approximately 9,270 sq ft on the second floor of Sherborne House at £10 per sq ft. The NHS Trust has signed a 15 year lease, providing new accommodation for the Royal Devon & Exeter Foundation Clinical and Administration teams.
The building, already occupied by the Job Centre on the ground floor, has undergone major refurbishment on the second floor to bring it to the exact specification required by the NHS Trust.
Duncan Jarvis, Asset Manager at Mapeley said “The deal represents one of the largest lettings in Newton Abbot this year. Sherborne House provides a rare opportunity for a company to relocate to a high quality office in this sought after location in Devon.”
Andy Powell from the Royal Devon & Exeter Foundation NHS Trust commented, “Newton Abbot has limited opportunities to relocate a large team within the town centre. The Landlords at Sherborne House were able to offer a tailored solution, and we are pleased with the accommodation following extensive re-modelling.”
There is an additional 6,942 sq ft (645 sq m) of space on the third floor available to let, which agents Alder King and Stratton Creber Commercial are marketing.
Dominic Rosenbaum of Alder King commented: “We are delighted to have agreed a new letting to the NHS to retain their presence in the town centre. This is a prominent building in a central location, offering good quality office accommodation. We are now marketing the third floor office which can accommodate requirements from 2,074 sq ft to 6,942 sq ft (193 – 645 sq m). The building provides modern office facilities with twin passenger lifts, WC facilities, air conditioning, raised access floors and parking.”
