The line-up for the biggest annual economic conference in Coventry and Warwickshire has been confirmed.
The Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Conference is taking place at the Belgrade Theatre on Friday, October 17, from 9.30am and will include speakers from industry, politics and economics.
Louise Bennett, the Chamber’s chief executive, will address the conference before Jonathan Browning, chair of the Local Enterprise Partnership, and Tom Vosa, Yorkshire Bank’s chief economist, take to the stage.
MP Marcus Jones, as chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group for town centres, will take part in a panel debate with Catherine Mallyon, of the RSC, and representatives from Turkish Airlines and Centre for Cities, around the issue of the region’s town and city centres.
Coventry and Warwickshire success stories Safetyflex Barriers and Rhead Group will highlight what they have achieved on the world stage before a key note speech by John Timpson, the CEO of Timpsons.
The event is being facilitated by Advent Communications’ Adam Dent and is sponsored by Yorkshire Bank, Turkish Airlines and the Local Enterprise Partnership. It will follow a theme of ‘Prosperity through Growth’ – an agenda set by Chamber president Peter Burns, who will close the conference.
Angela Tellyn, partnership manager at the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “Our conference is one of the highlights of the business calendar and we have, once again, put together a programme of speakers that will inform and entertain delegates.
“There has already been significant interest from members and non-members wanting to attend so I would urge people to secure their place early.”
