A Nottingham boutique accountancy firm has pulled off a coup by luring one of Nottingham’s fastest-rising professionals away from a major city practice.
Sian Wills has joined seven7seven as an associate from Smith Cooper, where she was Audit Assistant Manager.
Sian, who will initially be preparing accounts and tax returns for seven7seven’s growing client base says: “I joined seven7seven as I saw it as a great business opportunity; a platform for me to start in a business I could call my own with owner Jason Roberts.
“I have worked very closely with Jason in the past and we have made an excellent team, so I knew working in a partnership with him was undoubtedly going to be a great move for me. I knew already that Jason had worked extremely hard to build a great client portfolio and wanted to help him build it further.”
Sian joined Smith Cooper straight from completing her A-Levels in 2006 and over the next 8 years gained AAT and ACCA qualifications as she moved quickly up the ranks. She initially worked in accounts and then predominately in audit and was then promoted to audit assistant manager.
Jason Roberts, managing director of seven7seven, said: “It’s great news that Sian is on board. I’m confident that she will build great client working relationships and bring vital experience.
“Now that Sian has joined, we will continue to service the existing clients to an excellent standard but we also hope to gain clients from other sectors. This will increase the wide variety of businesses on our portfolio and, in turn, expand our areas of expertise and knowledge. We will not only carry out compliance work and provide tax advice but also offer other financial specialist advice by being closely networked with other quality professional organisations. ”
Jason set up seven7seven in 2009 after spending nineteen years with Smith Cooper.
