Coach operator Scottish CityLink and Maxim Office Park, Eurocentral have announced details of a new bus service in conjunction with CityLink that will connect the Park with Glasgow and Edinburgh.
From this week the CityLinkAir service, which runs from Glasgow’s Buchanan Bus Station to Edinburgh Airport, will make a stop at Maxim. In order to deliver flexible travel options for tenants and visitors, the service will run every 30 minutes, seven days a week.
Benefitting from a great location immediately adjacent to the M8, Maxim easily serves the whole of central Scotland with excellent road links. Through the bus service the 3,700 employees currently based in the Eurocentral area will now be able to reach the Park in 20 minutes from Glasgow city centre and 35 minutes from Edinburgh for a great value fare, making this business location one of the most accessible in Scotland.
Craig Ritchie, asset manager at Maxim Office Park, commented: “The new service ensures that Maxim now has direct connectivity to Glasgow and Edinburgh through public transport, providing the necessary links for our current and future workforce at Maxim. The existing local bus services connect the Park to surrounding towns, including the key railway stations at Motherwell and Airdrie, so this new service really is the icing on the cake.
“The businesses at Eurocentral already benefit from having one of the largest recruitment catchment areas in the UK so this new service will create access for those people. Alongside the existing on-site amenities, our aim is to ensure a great range of services for the users, making Maxim the best out of town development in Scotland.”
Elizabeth Esnouf, managing director of Scottish CityLink, said: “It is great news that we can now include Maxim as part of our successful Air service. We’ve invested in state-of-the-art buses so all of the customers can enjoy a quick and comfortable journey to their final destination.”
The Dakota Glasgow hotel, located next to the entrance of Maxim, is also expected to make great use of the new service. By running the bus between Buchanan Bus Station and Edinburgh Airport and starting as early as 4am, it provides further travel links for the hotel’s business customers.
In addition to the children’s nursery, the Peppery Horse take-away, Berits & Brown bistro and the putting green, Maxim has recently opened The Fountain, a new fitness, beauty and wellbeing amenity hub available to all tenants. The Fountain is home to services such as physiotherapy, a hairdressers and an ATM and runs regular fitness classes including body combat, metafit, spin and yoga.
“The new bus timetable includes services that run from very early in the morning to late in the evening, meaning that our tenants and visitors are able to take advantage of the amenities available onsite both before and after working hours,” added Craig Ritchie.
Maxim Office Park has a range of offices available, from suites of 1,000 sq ft to one of the UK’s largest buildings at 187,000 sq ft, and can offer businesses highly competitive lease terms. It is strategically located adjacent to the M8 corridor, giving excellent access to the central belt of Scotland. Current tenants include the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA), Currie & Brown, Valliant, TCB BioPharm, Sure Thing and Regus.
