Mid-market companies looking for valuable knowledge and practical advice on growing their businesses globally, should attend one of this year’s most significant international trade events at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton on June 4th 2014.
Jointly hosted by accountants and business advisers BDO LLP, HSBC and UKTI, the event will provide attendees with an opportunity to learn from guest business speakers including Gail Thomas from TW Metals.
Thomas will share her first-hand experience of the company’s international growth journey, from its formation in 1998 through the merger of Tubesales and Williams & Company to today, operating in 30 worldwide locations as a market leader in Specialty Metals distribution. She will cover the key financial, strategic and cultural considerations needed for significant international growth and entry into new global markets.
This will follow Peter McIntyre, HSBC Head of UK Trade, who will give an overview of the current opportunities and changes that are taking place in markets abroad, sharing valuable data on the top countries for UK trade. Delegates will then be invited to join breakout sessions either ‘Funding international growth’ led by HSBC and UK Export Finance or ‘Five steps to going to global’ with the UKTI, BDO and Jan Ward, CEO of Corrotherm International.
The event will close with a chance for participants to question and challenge the specialists and speakers including Keith Warburton from Global Business Culture, discovering the real commercial impact of cultural differences when working cross-border.
The event is open to all mid market companies who are looking to expand their current overseas operations. To book your place and choice of breakout session please contact Danielle Bishop on 023 8088 1749 or email [email protected]
