Midlands Asset Finance has appointed Simon Boddy as its latest business development manager. Simon will use his expertise in invoice finance to create new business opportunities for the Nottingham-based firm which specialises in arranging all aspects of asset-based lending and property funding for business. Simon is the latest recruit following five other new members of staff who have recently joined the business as a part of the company’s current expansion.
Simon has extensive experience in arranging all aspects of invoice finance and asset-based lending and joins the team after 25 years in the banking industry, latterly working for Lloyds bank.
During this time Simon has built a wealth of sector knowledge and has developed contacts both across the Midlands and further afield, qualities that make him a highly valuable addition to the firm.
Talking about his appointment, Simon said: “It feels really exciting to be taking on this new role. I have extensive experience of arranging all aspects of confidential invoice discounting and factoring across a variety of sectors and working with Midlands Asset Finance I now have access to a whole range of different funders to support clients looking to grow their business.”
Midlands Asset Finance is currently undergoing expansion due to increased demand for the services it provides. Director, Sue Chapman, who was previously senior director of Lombard and who makes up one half of the husband and wife team which runs the company, said: “With his extensive experience, Simon will be an extremely valuable addition to the team and will enable us to expand our operations further in the invoice finance sector.”
Simon’s appointment marks a positive start to what should be a highly successful year for Midlands Asset Finance.
