Staff from GVA’s Bristol office volunteered to get covered in paint, to help raise the awareness of a very worthy cause. As one of the sponsors of this year’s Rainbow Run, organised by Children’s Hospice South West, independent property adviser GVA will be taking part in the colourful event, and in particular will help shower participants in the special powdered paint.
The Rainbow Run takes place on Saturday 21 June in Bristol.
At each kilometre point around the 5k route on the Downs, runners can expect to be showered in multi-colour paint – and by the time they cross the finishing line, be rainbow coloured.
Last year the inaugural run attracted over 1000 runners and raised £55k for the charity. Thanks to its success, capacity has been increased for 2014, so the charity is aiming to raise even more funds. Over 800 people have already registered.
Victoria Oliver of GVA says, “Getting splattered was worth it. We’re hoping to get as many people as possible from the GVA office in Bristol to take part and we’d encourage other businesses to do the same. We’re really looking forward to being involved in such a fun event that raises valuable funds for Children’s Hospice South West.”
