LionHeart, the benevolent fund for RICS members and their families, has set up an emergency grant to support RICS members and their families who may be affected by the UK flood disaster.
“The army, navy and civilian volunteers are all doing their part to support communities affected by the flood disaster, and we want to do our bit too”, said Davina Goodchild, Chief Executive, LionHeart.
“The aim of the grant is to help RICS members and their families through the immediate aftermath of the floods, by making available to them a grant of up to £1,000 which they can access easily and quickly”, she adds.
According to the Environment Agency, over 600 homes have been flooded in the past few weeks, out of which 150 properties were affected in the Somerset levels, and warn that this week The Thames, the Severn and the Dorset Stour are at particular risk.
