Wales’ favourite pie-maker Peter’s Food Service has made a key appointment to further boost its marketing department.
Claire Conway has been appointed to the new role of marketing manager at the Bedwas-based business. Twenty-six-year-old Claire, from Marshfield in Cardiff, joins the company from South Wales Police where she worked within their Corporate Communications department for almost five years.
In her new role she will be responsible for developing Peter’s public relations, digital marketing and internal communications strategy. She will also oversee the company’s market research and events management.
English Literature graduate Miss Conway said: “Peter’s is iconic in Wales and I’m thrilled to join the company.
“The brand has seen great creative marketing success in recent years, and I’m looking forward to developing more innovative campaigns to encourage more passion for our products amongst consumers.”
Clare Morgan, Peter’s marketing director, said: “Claire has a wealth of communications experience, and I am confident that this will help us to deliver more exciting marketing campaigns while driving the brand forward within the retail and food service sectors.
“Her appointment allows us to maintain the fantastic momentum we have built in recent years with innovative marketing such as the award-winning ‘Luv Wales, Luv Peters’ campaign, and activity with the Welsh Rugby Union and Cardiff City FC.”
Owain Jones will strengthen the team as he takes on the new role of commercial executive. Owain has worked for Peter’s for the past four years and said: “Since I joined Peter’s, the company has grown from strength to strength and remains a truly iconic Welsh brand. This is a fantastic new challenge within the business and I’m looking forward to embracing it.”
Clare Morgan added: “Strengthening the brand and commercial team is key to brand success. With Claire and Owain’s combined skills and ideas they will help drive Peter’s future success.”
