GVA, the UK’s largest independent property company, has appointed Matthew Mears as a Director in its Property Management Consultancy team.
With 20 years’ experience in the property industry, Matthew has previously held directorships with Colliers International and DTZ, with previous clients including; British Land, Aviva and F&C Reit. Matthew also completed a two year secondment in Budapest working for Lanebridge, where he managed Arena Plaza, one of the City’s largest shopping centres as well as undertaking consultancy work across Europe and the Middle East for clients including; Hines, Ballymore and Heitmann.
In his new role at GVA’s Manchester office, Matthew will be responsible for supporting and driving forward the consultancy’s property management services in the region.
On the appointment, Jacqueline O’Shea, National Director, Property Management Consultancy for GVA, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Matthew to the team. His extensive experience both in the UK and Europe and the Middle East will be a great asset to the team and we look forward to working together to increase GVA’s presence both in the region and nationally.”
Matthew added: “Since returning to the UK in 2012, I have been working on projects across the North of England however had been looking for exciting opportunities to settle in the North West. GVA’s property management team is involved in some of the largest schemes in the region. I look forward to bringing my experience to the fold as I play my part in the continued growth of consultancy.”
