A business telecommunications provider, whose clients include Cardiff Blues and Cardiff Metropolitan University, is celebrating its tenth year of trading with a record turnover.
TWL Voice and Data has ended its last financial year with its highest ever turnover.
Established by Andrew Nicholson in 2003, over the past 10 years TWL has built up an impressive reputation for providing comprehensive telecommunications solutions to businesses across South Wales.
Employing ten staff, the Cardiff-based company provides Mitel, Toshiba and Siemens (now Unify) office telephone systems, mobile solutions through the four main UK networks, HellermanTyton data and fibre cabling and a range of broadband packages to over 400 clients.
The record growth follows the acquisition of Danwood Wales’ telephony customers in 2012, which increased TWL’s client base by 70 per cent and revenue by £100,000.
In recent years the company has seen particular growth from law firms, estate agencies and recruitment companies, with the latest batch of contract wins including CPS Group, Moginie James and IntaPeople.
The company is celebrating its 10th anniversary by partnering with the Cardiff Blues, as a joint sponsor of the South Stand and official supplier of the Club, and raising over £6000 for its charity of the year, St David’s Hospice Care.
Andrew Nicholson, managing director of TWL, said: “The telecoms industry has changed massively in the last ten years. When we first started out all customers were after was an easy to use, reliable phone system and the occasional voice mail system.
“Over the years, the industry has become closely aligned with the IT sector. This, coupled with improvements in broadband services and the speeds on offer, means we are now providing solutions that integrate telecoms and IT together, mainly hosted telephony and voice over IP (VoIP).
“We have been extremely successful over our 10 year history as we have always looked after our loyal customer base. All our new business comes from either customer referrals or company partner referrals which is testament to the service we offer and my talented team.
“We have grown year on year and we are only able to continue this success by being ahead of the game and our competitors. It is very exciting times in the telecoms market and each new requirement that comes in has different demands.
“2013 has been a year of celebration for us and we are delighted to have raised over £6,000 to date for our charity of the year, St David’s Hospice Care. We are really looking forward to taking the business to the next level as we aim to become the business data and telecoms provider of choice in Wales.”
“Looking toward the future, our aim is to become the largest and most reputable telecoms provider in Wales and South West. We are constantly building good relationships with our clients and I believe that this is key to the future growth of TWL.”
