East Midlands law firm Hawley & Rodgers is donating its fees for will-writing to a charity scheme during November.
Hawley & Rodgers, which has offices in Nottingham, Loughborough, Bingham and Long Eaton, is taking part in Will Aid 2013, which gives people the opportunity to make a basic Will with a participating firm of solicitors, in return for a donation to the cause.
The suggested donation, which will be split between nine participating charities, is £90 for the creation of a basic will.
Caroline Williams, partner and head of the Wills, Trust and Probate team at Hawley & Rodgers, said: “Will Aid is a fantastic national scheme which raises awareness and funding for some very worthwhile charities.
“It also encourages thousands of people every year, to create their own Will, giving themselves peace of mind that, should the worst happen, their families and loved ones will be protected.”
More than £13.5m has been raised by Will Aid and its partner solicitor firms over the past 25 years, and has received support from celebrities such as Dame Judi Dench and Graham Norton.
The nine participating charities are ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, Sightsavers, SCIAF and Trocaire.
Representatives from Hawley & Rodgers’ Trust, Wills and Probate team will also be on hand to answer any questions you might have at a coffee morning in The Chesterfield Pub, Bingham, on 21 November, from 10am-12pm.
“It’s a great opportunity for local companies and individuals to see the benefits of the services we offer,” said Caroline.
“Whether it be issues surrounding the creation of your own Will, questions about an inheritance, or finding out more about our private client services, we’ll be happy to have a chat.”
