Somerset-based Plum Communications & PR has collected a finalist award at the annual Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide Awards ceremony held in Bristol recently.
Plum received the accolade at the West of England regional presentation dinner held at The Bristol Hotel, Bristol on Friday 21st October for its internal communications work with client, Merlin Housing Society in Gloucestershire.
The agency, which provides a range of marketing, communications and PR services for businesses and organisations, was shortlisted in the Internal Magazine or Publications category for its work on reinvigorating and re-launching Merlin’s staff magazine, The Pulse, earlier this year. Plum worked in partnership with Clevedon-based Paceprint UK for the creative design and print aspects of the campaign.
Director of Plum Karen Morledge said: “The awards evening was a great celebration event and we were delighted with the recognition that our work for Merlin achieved, on what was our first ever awards entry. Our commitment to deliver creativity and professionalism for clients means we continually strive for excellence in all that we do and this is a testament to our hard work.”
Commenting on the awards, Jane Wilson CIPR CEO said: “The CIPR PRide Awards represent the best, most creative and most effective public relations work across the UK and to get to this stage is a great achievement.”
Twelve regions participate in the PRide awards and there were over 1,000 entries this year. The judging process is rigorous with a national panel of industry experts assessing the shortlisted entries to ensure a fair and consistent judging process.
The PRide Awards is the only awards scheme that showcases the best PR work being carried out across the UK regions and nations.
