On behalf of owner Downtown Space Properties, leading property consultancy CBRE has announced it has secured global public relations agency Weber Shandwick as a tenant for The Hub in Glasgow.
Weber Shandwick, represented by Jones Lang LaSalle, has taken 2,830 sq ft on the second floor on a five year lease. The firm plans to relocate to The Hub from its current office in Lynedoch Crescent this month.
Weber Shandwick’s managing director for Scotland, Moray Macdonald, commented on the move: “After 28 years in our old office, we are delighted to be relocating into an exciting new environment which will see all of Weber Shandwick’s Glasgow teams housed together in one creative open space.
“We are particularly excited to now be located in the Creative Clyde district, a business hub for media, technology and creatively-minded businesses.”
Alistair Urquhart, senior surveyor at CBRE, said: “The Hub is continuing to buck the current market trends by attracting some very high profile occupiers, taking the building to over 95% let. Our flexible approach to lease terms, along with the great facilities and infrastructure, ensures that The Hub remains very popular with the right calibre of tenant.”
The Hub at Pacific Quay was developed specifically with the creative and related industries in mind to help establish a supportive and creative community. Sitting in the heart of the Creative Clyde district, it offers flexible floor space to accommodate the requirements of both fledgling talent and the more established companies.

This was a hugely appealing for Weber Shandwick who want to be located in Glasgow’s mini media city.”

· PDMS, a software development company based in the Isle of Man, has taken 401 sq ft on the second floor on a flexible lease.
· The All Talent/Sonia Scott agency, which specialises in providing models, actors and production services, has acquired a second floor unit consisting of 205 sq ft on a flexible lease.
· Management consultancy Rothko Business Growth has acquired a 379 sq ft unit on the second floor.
· UK architecture firm, BMJ Architects, which concentrates on the education, sciences and healthcare sectors, has taken a 5,565 sq ft unit on the third floor.
· Insurance brokers Bollington has expanded, acquiring a further 1,725 sq ft on the third floor.
· Global engineering consultancy Buro Happold has relocated to The Hub, taking 983 sq ft on the first floor.
· Web and application development company Swarm Online has taken a suite on the second floor, extending to 636 sq ft.
CBRE and Ryden jointly acted on behalf of Downtown Space Properties whilst Jones Lang LaSalle acted for Weber Shandwick.
