Cushman & Wakefield, the global property consultant, has appointed Oriol Barrachina, Partner and current Director of Cushman & Wakefield in Barcelona, as the new Managing Partner for Spain with effect from 1st January 2014.
Oriol will take over from Roger Cooke, who has led the Spanish business since 1995. Roger Cooke will remain at the firm through the transition period.
Oriol joined the firm in 1997 and was made Partner and Member of the Spanish Board in 2002. He has been Head of Cushman & Wakefield’s Barcelona office since 2005. Oriol currently holds national responsibilities for co-ordinating the service lines of Business Space, Property & Asset Management and Project Management.
Barrachina has a degree in Economics and Business from the University of Barcelona and University of Amberes (UFSIA) and holds an MBA from the University Pompeu Fabra.
