Redditch-based fastener firm Bufab UK has hit the expansion trail for the third time in recent years.
Property agents John Truslove made the connection that enabled the business to take 14,114 sq ft at Unit 49, Heming Road, Washford Industrial Estate, on a five year lease.
Bufab Group is a European leading supplier and manufacturer of nuts, bolts, screws and small parts, with 30 companies worldwide, sales of more than £200 million and over 700 employees.
It is subsidiary of a Swedish multi-national, with turnover of £3.2 million in 2012.
The Redditch operation distributes group products across the UK into sectors such as engineering, automotive, furniture, telecom/electronics, process, offshore, construction and aerospace.
Chris Koumides, managing director of Bufab UK, said: “We are excited at the progress we are making.
“Redditch is ideally placed at the heart of the country, at the heart of the motorway network and at the heart of West Midlands manufacturing.
“With the UK coming out of recession and the car industry expanding rapidly, we are hoping to capitalise on the opportunities being presented. We aim to provide a first class service at the lowest possible prices. We take pride in producing fasteners that solves problems for our customers and always look forward to new challenges.”
John Truslove partner Ian Parker said: “From small beginnings a few years ago Bufab UK has grown rapidly.
“It is an ambitious business with high customer service standards. We wish it well for the future.”
In-house manufactured products account for 20 per cent of group revenues and the remainder is outsourced.
