Glittering success is on the cards for Birmingham businesswoman Jayne Lloyd as she takes her home run card making and craft supply business to a new level.
After setting up her company, JJD Cards, in January 2008 Jayne has recently moved from a home office, with two rented storage units, to a 1,300 sq ft unit at Sovereign Road at SEGRO’s Kings Norton Business Centre (KNBC), on a three year lease. The new working space will include an office and storage rooms, as well as a showcase area to display a wide range of card making and craft supplies. The new premises will also be the perfect location for hosting workshops, where delegates will gain ideas and techniques for creating greeting cards for all occasions.
Jane Leedham, leasing manager for SEGRO, said: “We are pleased to welcome JJD Cards to the Kings Norton Business Centre and wish Jayne the best of luck with her new initiatives. Our flexible leases provide the flexibility a small business needs and the 24/7 security service has really benefitted Jayne as it helps her feel safer when she is working alone in the unit.”
Jayne said: “What started off as a card making hobby has now turned into a lucrative business. I like creating bespoke designs with materials that are unique, high quality and good value for money.
Over time, I’ve expanded the business by stocking innovative products from leading manufacturers and suppliers such as Hunkydory and Kanban.
I can now invite customers to come to my premises to see the full range of products on offer, attend a workshop and join my membership loyalty scheme.
“I chose KNBC because the flexible lease allows me to grow my business. KNBC is centrally located and came highly recommended from the other businesses on the site.”
JJD Cards supplies bespoke materials for all kinds of craft hobbies including card making, scrapbooking and parchment.
