Responding to Birmingham’s growing coffee culture, Coffee chain Caffè Nero is set to open a new 1,200 sq ft outlet at the mixed-use Brindleyplace estate.
The new 1,200 sq ft unit, which will be situated at Four Brindleyplace, overlooking Central Square, has been secured on a 15 year lease and will undergo a full fit-out before opening to the public in early 2014.
The award-winning Brindleyplace estate is owned and operated by Hines Global REIT and Moorfield Group (Moorfield) and contains both Central Square and Oozells Square, with a number of bars, restaurants and attractions, including the Crescent Theatre and IKON art gallery.
Raj Rajput, Director, Hines, said: “I know that Caffè Nero will be an outstanding addition to the fantastic mix of occupiers already present on the estate, providing our tenants and visitors to the estate with an even greater level of choice.
“We have taken this opportunity to review the locations of several of our tenants in order to ensure that they are in the right place on the estate to serve both their requirements and make sure that we are getting the best possible use from the estate.
“We are working to a tight timescale to ensure that all of our tenants are settled into their new locations as quickly and easily as possible before we have to begin any physical works.”
Caffè Nero will join a number of existing food and beverage retailers on the site, including Costa Coffee, Café Rouge, Bank, and Eat.

A full range of bars, restaurants and leisure amenities are available across the Brindleyplace estate, including Café Rouge, the Handmade Burger Company, Bannatyne’s Health Club, and Bank bar and restaurant. Brindleyplace also boasts an extremely diverse mix of commercial tenants, including Deloitte, RBS, Deutsche Bank and GVA
