Despite a recent dip in the economy and a notoriously unstable housing market, Cardiff-based estate agent, JeffreyRoss, has continued to see an increase in profit throughout 2011.
So far in 2011 lettings have increased by 144% compared to last year’s figures and letting fees have increased by 155% for the same period.
The company has also recorded a substantial increase in sales since they opened their new branch in Wellfield Road in March 2010 and are on course to exceed the tough targets that they set themselves last year.
Managing Director of JeffreyRoss, Ross Hooper-Nash, said: “Obviously this is a financially tough time for many people and businesses so we have had to work especially hard to ensure that JeffreyRoss has been able to thrive in such a difficult climate.”
Initially established in Pontcanna, JeffreyRoss brought its expertise and experience to Penylan when it saw an opportunity to meet the area’s high demand for residential and commercial properties.
The company has recently invested in a fleet of Audi A1s which have been branded in JeffreyRoss’ distinctive style.
Ross added: “When we took the decision to open the new office in Wellfield Road, we knew it was a major gamble but it is certainly one that has paid off. Pontcanna and Penylan are both thriving areas and the combination of low interest rates and lenders easing up on mortgages, have meant that we’ve seen an increase in first time buyers coming into the market which has a positive impact on conditions further up the ladder.
“Despite a successful few years, we have no intention of slowing things down. We’re a young and ambitious company and hopefully we’ll continue to grow further in 2011.”
JeffreyRoss was set up in 2007 by property entrepreneurs Ross Hooper-Nash and Jeffrey Hopkins to offer residential sales and lettings, student accommodation and commercial properties across Cardiff and South Wales.
