Grange Park, one of the region’s most sought-after business parks, is experiencing significant success, with a major letting soon to be announced and an award for its strong commitment to sustainability and occupier wellbeing.
The Grange continues to set the bar for sustainability with its exceptional EPC rating of A. The building is gas-free, with all heating and air conditioning powered by electricity. Solar panels, which generated 6,722 kWh of electricity in June, provide clean, renewable energy to the building’s common areas.
The park’s commitment to sustainability has been recognised with a prestigious Green Apple Gold Environment Award in the Property & Estate Management: Offices Habitat & Diversity category. The award by the Green Organisation highlights the park’s environmental achievements, including ongoing initiatives to reduce its ecological footprint and create a green, eco-friendly environment for its occupiers.
The parkland, particularly near the pond, has been transformed to enhance biodiversity with the introduction of pollinator-friendly planting, bat boxes, bird boxes, bee hives, and a bug hotel to support a wide variety of species.
Walkways beneath clematis planted pergolas lead to breakout areas, where occupiers can relax with picnic tables, benches, and “love seats”. Grange Park also boasts allotments with raised beds, with plans to launch a gardening club in the spring to encourage social interaction and a shared sense of purpose among occupiers.
Grange Park is being developed with occupier’s wellbeing in mind. It offers a working environment that encourages collaboration, productivity, and a sense of community. The north end of The Street, the impressive 200m long atrium running the length of the building, has been transformed with a 12m high mural created by Andy ‘Dice’ Davies, local artist and director of Cheltenham Paint Festival. Andrew said, “This was an interesting challenge and the biggest indoor mural I’ve ever undertaken. I interpreted a mid-19th century design by William Morris to meet the brief of bringing the parkland into the building, into The Street”.
