Fantastic progress continues at The Forum, which is helping to transform Gloucester city centre by providing quality places to live, work and spend time.
Part of the wider £200m regeneration of the city centre, The Forum is a mixed-use development brought forward Gloucester City Council in partnership with Reef Group. It will include premium office spaces, retail space, restaurant, a Hotel Indigo (IHG Hotels) and a rooftop bar.
Although work is not yet complete, more than 70% of the available floorspace is already taken. Gloucestershire-based Fasthosts Internet Ltd is the latest business to take space, taking all of the 19,000 sq ft office available at No2 Cathedral Walk.
Welcoming the progress, Leader of Gloucester City Council, Cllr Jeremy Hilton said: “It’s encouraging to see the Forum nearing completion. I’m pleased with the progress made so far. Most recently Fasthosts has started to move into the office spaces, and I hope they will lead the way in attracting other innovation and technology tenants.
“The Forum will have a 398-space car park with its lovely green wall that will complete the transport hub next to the bus and railway stations.
“Next year we shall see the opening of a new 4-star hotel at the Forum. This will all help in reviving our city centre. Bringing more life back into the heart of Gloucester.”
