An American-owned vehicle components manufacturer is opening offices in Worcestershire after taking space in at Loxton Developments’ Grosvenor House building in Redditch.

Property agency John Truslove handles lettings at Grosvenor House and helped Loxton seal a 10-year lease deal with Meritor, part of the Cummins multinational, on 6,219 sq ft of space at Suite 7, on the third floor of Grosvenor House, overlooking the town centre.

Mark Roberts, managing director at Loxton Developments, said: “We are delighted that a multinational of Meritor’s stature has chosen Grosvenor House for its latest offices.

“It underlines the quality of the building, filling their needs in terms of space, technology and décor. They are currently fitting out Suite 7 and we expect them to be moving their people into the building in the next few weeks.”

Grosvenor House, on Prospect Hill, is one of the largest office blocks in Redditch, extending to 47,000 sq ft. It is one of a dozen office buildings owned by Loxton Developments across the Midlands.

Mr Roberts said: “We have a long-standing relationship with John Truslove, and they have done an excellent job as our leasing agents at Grosvenor House.

“The Meritor deal is the latest in a string of rental agreements we have sealed for this building in recent months, with software company Slimstock taking 6,300 sq ft and Pearson VUE renewing the lease on their driving theory test centre there.”

Ben Truslove, joint managing director at John Truslove, said: “This is the landmark office address in Redditch. Originally built in 1974 it has flourished under the ownership of Loxton Developments, who have continued to invest to maintain the quality of these offices.

“There are still some suites available across Grosvenor House, ranging in size from around 400 sq ft to 6,000 sq ft, offering firms the opportunity to join an array of leading businesses that have chosen to base themselves there.”
