Leading national law firm Geldards has returned to Pride Park to take up residence as a flagship tenant in the newly-refurbished Cubo office space.
Based at Number One Pride Park since 2002, the Derby-based practice moved out in April to allow bespoke co-working experts Cubo to carry out extensive renovations on the building to create a unique modern workspace. In the meantime, Geldards spent three months working from office space at the renowned Museum of Making in Derby city centre.
Geldards is the first tenant to move into the renovated workspace at Cubo Pride Park and their seventy-five strong Derby workforce now occupy the first floor of the building. Cubo’s ethos is to foster a collaborative working environment with cutting-edge technology, modern co-working spaces and a Barista Station. The serviced office space boasts 18,000 sq. ft. of office accommodation over three floors and 450 desks.
This latest collaboration with Cubo follows Geldards’ move into Cubo Standard Court Nottingham at the beginning of this year. Ninety staff relocated from The Arc on Enterprise Way to Royal Standard Place – a landmark building at the heart of the city’s business quarter overlooking Nottingham Castle, cementing the firm’s presence in Nottingham city centre.
Geldards has embraced the move towards adopting purpose-built modern office environments for their workforce, providing a vibrant and flexible workspace for staff combined with a better and more responsive service for clients.
Chairman David Williams said:
“Geldards is delighted to be the first tenant taking up residence at Cubo Pride Park, we are pleased to be leading the way. Our focus is always on business growth and how we can make improvements for both staff and clients alike. Our relationship with Cubo has been instrumental in offering an agile and responsive service to our clients. Since moving into Cubo Standard Court in Nottingham earlier this year, we have really felt the benefits of working in a collaborative office space, one which reflects the demands of our dynamic and modern workforce.
We have a broad client base of high-profile organisations across business, public and charitable sectors, as well as private clients. Embracing new ways of working and new technologies helps us to continue to deliver the high quality service our clients expect from us. Geldards has long enjoyed the benefits of being located in one of the most high-profile buildings on Pride Park and we are pleased to retain our prime location with the added advantage of the slick, flexible work setting that Cubo offers.”
Marc Brough, CEO at Cubo, added:
“We are delighted to welcome Geldards to our new Cubo workspace on Pride Park in Derby. They are one of a growing number of corporate companies who are rethinking their accommodation strategies and moving towards a flexible working model at Cubo.
“Location, great space to work from and flexibility are the main drivers for ambitious businesses. Cubo on Pride Park provides all this and much more, thanks to its unbeatable location, local amenities and the sheer quality of the space. We look forward to announcing the arrival of more dynamic businesses to Cubo in the coming weeks.”
