Firstsource Solutions Limited, a leading global provider of Business Process Management (BPM) services and an RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group company, has recently moved to Tricorn House, securing the entire 15,000 sq ft office space on the third floor.
Firstsource has taken 240 desks on landlord, CEG’s, Let Ready Go studio package. CEG has also designed some bespoke space, splitting the floor into two symmetrical halves each with dedicated meeting and training rooms, kitchen and breakout space, as well as tailoring the ventilation.
This is CEG’s biggest Let Ready Go deal to date, providing fully furnished space on flexible lease lengths with no additional costs.
Dan White, Head of Flex Advisory for the Midlands and South at CBRE, advised CEG on the deal. He said: “This is the largest landlord-delivered deal of its type in Birmingham to date and heralds a new dawn for landlord-occupier relations in the city.
“Whilst in the US it’s common for a landlord to deliver a fully fitted product, with the costs amortised in the lease, in the UK a more traditional lease structure is the default. This is starting to change. Businesses that find it hard to predict growth, or are keen to offer flexible working practices, still want bespoke, dedicated space to attract and retain staff. At the same time, they don’t want the cost or headache of managing a fit-out. Global businesses, such as Firstsource, also expect this model to be available in the UK.
“There’s no doubt that the ‘fully fitted’ occupation model is gaining traction and CEG is at its forefront.”
