Harris Lamb has announced six promotions within the business to reward the outstanding work of team members within its Commercial Agency, Building Consultancy, Residential Land, Lease Advisory and Environment departments.
Marcus Andrew, of the Building Consultancy department, has been made an Associate Director, as have Sara Garratt of the Agency team, James Willcock of the Residential Land department and Carolyn Quinn, of the Lease Advisory team. Craig Greenwell has been promoted to Head of the Environment department, while his colleague Abigail Lloyd has become a Consultant Ecologist.
Charles D’Auncey, Director, said that each of the individuals had put in an outstanding performance for the company to earn their promotions.
“We have a strong history of bringing on staff and working with them to further their careers, and we have been impressed with how these loyal team members have grown with their roles and adapted to and overcome the challenges presented to the property sector over the past few years. We are particularly proud of the way that all of them have supported and advised clients and are in no doubt that their diligence and hard work means these promotions are well deserved,” he said.
“Since joining the business in 2016, Marcus has proved himself a vital part of the Building Consultancy team, continuing to lead a number of refurbishment and development projects throughout the Midlands in order to meet the surge in demand for high-specification industrial property as the sector thrives, while Sara Garratt, who has been a valued member of our Commercial Agency team since 2013, has worked tirelessly with clients across both the industrial and office sectors to dispose of and acquire properties at a time where the continuing stock shortage and high demand was countered by financial uncertainty, rising interest rates and the cost-of-living crisis.
“As with industrial property, the demand for new housing across the UK remains high, and our Residential Land team has been working closely with developers and private owners alike to identify opportunities to fulfil that need. Since joining the team seven years ago, James has worked with a diverse range of stakeholders to bring land parcels to market and negotiated development agreements in order to deliver much-needed residential opportunities throughout the UK,” said Charles.
“Carolyn joined us at the height of the pandemic in the summer of 2020 and continues to demonstrate great understanding of clients’ concerns while providing accurate, up-to-date and strong professional advice on Lease Advisory and valuation matters in a constantly-changing economy and market.
“Further to the departure of Dr Holly Smith, who established our Environment team in 2018, at the end of March, her right-hand-man Craig Greenwell has stepped into her shoes. Since joining the business in 2022, Craig has proved himself a valuable asset to the team, who will continue to benefit from his knowledge and passion. His colleague Abi Lloyd, who was appointed to the business three years ago, has impressed the Directors with her determination to expand her field of knowledge and her efforts to secure protected species licenses in order to strengthen the capabilities and resources of the team.
“We are delighted to acknowledge the dedication that each of these people has shown in their roles and to reward the commitment they have demonstrated during their time with the business – huge congratulations and thanks to them all,” Charles added.
