Leading global property advisor Knight Frank and joint agents CBRE have announced the letting of the 1st floor at The Cube to national engineering consultancy firm, Fairhurst. Landlord, Salaft Properties Limited, acquired The Cube in 2017 and have subsequently transformed the office building.
The Cube is located on 1 Lower Lamb Street and underwent an extensive refurbishment in 2023. The letting to Fairhurst totals 2,560 sq ft and marks the first entrant to The Cube since the works completed. Fairhurst have relocated from Clifton Heights where they had occupied office space for 3 decades. Their “once in a 30-year move” highlights the proposition that The Cube offers.
The building is located opposite the popular Bristol Harbourside, with a range of amenities on the doorstep. With 10,819 sq ft of available office space over 4th, 3rd and 2nd floors, the repositioning of the building includes newly refurbished CAT A office floors, an impressive remodelled double height reception and all new end of journey facilities.
David Townsend, Partner at Fairhurst commented: “The move to our new premises was carefully considered and reflects the firmwide strategy to improve the offering to both our current teams, and also prospective employees. The Cube was selected after examining a number of city centre properties. It’s location in relation to local transport hubs, other amenities’ and the flexible office space it has offered us, were all key in making it our final choice. We are looking forward to a long and healthy presence in the building. Our Senior Partner has noted that ‘the move represents a step forward for Fairhurst, with our people in Bristol benefiting from much improved accommodation and a better working environment”.
Russell Baum at Salaft, Landlord has said: “The Cube is a landmark building in a popular location and following complete refurbishment we are exceptionally pleased to be the new home for Fairhurst, whose commitment ties so closely with ours as long-term investors in good quality buildings. We look forward to developing more relationships and working closely with our future partners to keep delivering a great experience that encourages people back to the office”.
Julian Watts, Associate at Knight Frank, added: “Welcoming Fairhurst as the first occupier to the recently refurbished Cube building is an exciting step and shows great conviction in the workspace. Given occupiers can now work remotely from any location, the demands on what an office offers have gone well beyond a desk and a “place to work”. Occupiers are seeking light, bright environments with buildings that provide well equipped, end of journey facilities. Salaft’s entire design for The Cube was built around delivering these benefits to occupiers”.
