Theatre Company Secures Larger Base

Theatre Alibi has now secured its premises. The company who are nationally renowned create exciting new work for audiences of all ages.
 
Theatre Alibi used to share its premises with the Northcott Theatre at Emmanuel Hall in Exeter.  Following the administration of the Northcott Theatre, Theatre Alibi were able to secure a leasehold interest in the whole building.  Theatre Alibi were advised by Ashleigh Phillips, Associate at Vickery Holman Property Consultants and his building surveying colleagues.
 
Theatre Alibi have significantly expanded their occupation and use by taking a lease of the whole building from the new owners, Collier Holdings, who purchased the property from the receivers.
 
Careful negotiations between Theatre Alibi, Collier Holdings and the Administrators   resulted in Theatre Alibi having an exciting opportunity to expand its operation and to offer other theatre and dance companies much needed rehearsal space.  At the same time the Landlord will have an excellent investment in this previously neglected building. 
 
Ashleigh Phillips of Vickery Holman comments “it was rewarding to act on behalf of Theatre Alibi and to conclude a deal which is advantageous for both Landlord and Tenant”.
 
Since acquiring the building the Landlords have put the building into repair, thereby assuring its future and allowing Theatre Alibi to concentrate on creating their high quality productions.  Currently the company’s show Deep Down Cowboys for five to eleven year olds is touring primary schools and theatres in the south west.

Theatre Alibi have taken a 13 year lease at an undisclosed rent.
