An award-winning renewable energy company has opened a new office at Glasgow’s Maxim Park as it continues to invest to support growth and create jobs.
Muirhall Energy, which is currently developing onshore wind farms and battery storage facilities at locations across the UK, has taken occupation of 3,186 sq. ft. of space on the second floor of Maxim 3 after signing a five-year lease with landlord, Shelborn Asset Management.
With its headquarters in South Lanarkshire and a second office in Hawick, Maxim Park is Muirhall Energy’s third location, echoing its ‘people first’ approach to business.
The company currently employs a 50-strong workforce but sees the new office as the springboard for further expansion, with plans for additional recruitment in the next few years as the business develops and demand for its renewable energy solutions continues to remain strong.
The quality of the offices at Maxim Park was attractive, said managing director Sarah McIntosh, who added that the company was particularly drawn to the site’s strong sense of community spirit. “Maxim Park’s location is a strong selling point – it’s a great place to do business. It fits our company ethos and ESG commitments with an atmosphere reflective of our other offices. While it has eco-innovation and sustainability at its core, it’s also home to other good businesses and amenities.
“We are excited about the move and now that we are investing further in our infrastructure, we look forward to recruiting additional talent in the coming years as the business continues to flourish. Maxim Park definitely has a strong community feel about it, and we look forward to interacting and learning from our neighbours. It also offers us the space and flexibility to engage with our stakeholders across the industry.”
The deal follows a host of recent lettings at Maxim Park to companies looking to start-up or move to the next level as part of their business development plans.
Caroline Baillie, director of park services at Maxim Park, added: “With a host of top-quality facilities, the park is ideal for dynamic, growing and innovative businesses. I’m sure the Muirhall Energy team will settle into their new offices very quickly and benefit from our great onsite amenities and services as they look to invest to secure their future growth needs.”
Joint letting agents Knight Frank and CBRE acted on behalf of landlord Shelborn Asset Management.
