Electrical engineering firm HV Energy Systems has expanded into a prominent, recently-built warehouse unit at Armstrong Business Park in Yate to support its growing involvement in a number of large-scale green and renewable energy projects.
Established in 2017, the company provides a suite of engineering services for the management, maintenance and development of new and existing infrastructure in the electrical power industry. Its workload has grown steadily over the past six years.
It has now leased Unit 1 Armstrong Business Park which was being marketed by Alder King. At 4,665 sq ft, the unit is nearly five times larger than its previous facility at the nearby Brunel Court on Dean Road Industrial Estate. The company is also hiring to support its continued growth.
HV Energy Systems managing director Craig Steven said: “Relocating to this modern, good sized and ideally located unit will set us up very well for the next phase of our growth strategy. The additional floor space, which we’re using as offices and equipment assembly space, will allow us to bring more of our business in-house, rather than sub-contracting, giving us greater control over the services we provide.”
Only completed in 2021, the new unit provides high quality warehouse/office accommodation at the front of Armstrong Business Park, a well-established commercial location which is home to a wide variety of occupiers.
HV Energy Systems has taken the unit on a new 10-year lease and are now in occupation.
Emma Smith, associate at Alder King, who acted for the private landlord, added: “Demand for quality warehouse space still outweighs availability across the region, but particularly in Bristol. We were therefore able to secure this letting within a matter of weeks of it coming onto the market.
“We also have a second unit on the same park, Unit 4, which went under offer very quickly and, assuming this proceeds to completion, will bring this very successful scheme to 100% occupation.”
