West Midlands construction company Anglo Holt has announced the completion of a £2.6 million store in Woolwich for retail giant TK Maxx.
The store, located within the town centre’s Woolwich Triangle development, is due to open this month (February) and will create local job opportunties.
The design and build project was awarded to West Bromwich-based Anglo Holt Construction by clients Powis Street Estates.
Anglo Holt carried out part demolition of a disused retail and office space to build the TK Maxx store. Construction work involved full removal of the existing façade, which was then replaced with curtain walling.
Andy Elwell, managing director at Anglo Holt, said: “We are pleased to announce that Woolwich town centre will soon have its own TK Maxx store, which will be good news for shoppers as well as neighbouring businesses as it will help to drive footfall. The store is also set to create jobs, which will be welcomed by the local community.”
Based in West Bromwich in the West Midlands, Anglo Holt has an annual turnover in excess of £50 million and employs around 100 people. Its objective is to guarantee to deliver quality, reliability and added value throughout the total process of design, construction, project management and cost management.
Launched in the UK in 1994, TK Maxx has grown to 265 stores across the UK and Ireland and is widely recognised among savvy shoppers as a top destination for fashions and labels at affordable prices.
