A West Midlands-based housebuilder is laying the foundations for future expansion by relocating its headquarters in a move that more than doubles the size of its offices.
Commercial property consultancy Burley Browne, acting on behalf of landlord Instarmac, have secured a letting to Owl Homes for 6,047 sq ft of office space at Birch Coppice Business Park, Tamworth.
The high quality offices at Arley Drive, Birch Coppice Business Park include raised access floors, suspended ceilings, LG7 compliant lighting, access control to all doors, lift access to all floors, as well as heating and comfort cooling. The prestigious building is in a very convenient location with excellent access to the A5, M42, Birmingham Airport, NEC, Birmingham City Centre and East Midlands.
Birch Coppice Business Park itself has in excess of 370,000 sq m of floor space with occupiers including UPS, VW, Instarmac and Euro Car Parts together with the Birmingham Intermodal Freight Terminal.
Steven Hannaford, senior surveyor at Burley Browne, said: “Owl Homes is a very ambitious company which has several impressive housing developments. They were keen to find office accommodation that will allow them to grow the business in the next few years.”
Owl Homes’ award-winning developments can be found in popular market towns and villages including Sutton Coldfield, Walsall Wood, Desford, Blackfordby and Upton Snodsbury. Developments at Market Bosworth and Honeybourne are due to launch this year.
Gary Mills, chairman of Owl Homes, said: “This relocation marks the start of an exciting period of growth for the Owl Group. The office at Birch Coppice Business Park appealed for many reasons. It’s easily accessible; enabled us to remain within our home town of Tamworth. Finally, as a new build premises, it’s also inherently more sustainable, including EV charging points, and this aligns with our company ethos to champion greener living.”
A spokesman for landlord Instarmac said: “We are delighted to welcome Owl Homes to Arley Drive. We are excited to see Owl Homes grow over the coming years within these state-of-the-art premises, providing a fantastic head office for this forward-thinking home builder.”
Steven added: “Despite there being an anticipated transition to home/remote working, there is evidence to suggest that occupiers still very much see the office as the place of work for the future. Working from home doesn’t suit everyone and so the office is still very important to the majority of businesses and employees.
“The letting to Owl Homes follows a positive start to the year for the Burley Browne office agency team and is one of 16 disposals to date totaling in excess of 30,000 sq ft. There is also in excess of another 30,000 sq ft of transactions under offer demonstrating the ongoing importance of the office to business occupiers.”
