A baby products manufacturer has moved its operation to Bardon 22 business park, in a deal secured by Innes England.
The property agent acted on behalf of the landlord in the letting of the recently refurbished Unit 3 at Bardon 22, which saw Team-Tex take 23,351 sq ft of industrial space at the popular Leicester location.
Team-Tex is part of a French owned company, specialising in child car safety seats. Previously based in Whetstone, and employing eight people, the company is moving to the new facility to expand its distribution operation.
Adam Clay, general manager of Team-Tex, said: “We distribute products to a range of national clients including Argos, Kiddicare, Asda, Mothercare, Halfords, Toys R Us and Amazon, so we needed a unit that had the capacity for our growing distribution and storage needs.”
Peter Doleman of Innes England acted on behalf of the landlords Marc and Udo Schlüter, owners of Schlüter-Systems Ltd, the UK subsidiary of a worldwide market-leading manufacturer of installation systems and accessories for ceramic tiles.
He said: “Bardon is a popular location for both manufacturers and distribution companies, due to its location adjacent to M1Juntion 22 and the range of building sizes provided. This deal is a fine example of the value in refurbishing a unit making it attractive to an occupier.
“Unit 3 seemed ideal for Team-Tex as there was good open plan accommodation, which suited the business’ needs. The recent refurbishment also meant that Team-Tex could move in quickly, which was one of their principle requirements.”
Matt Shaw of Schlüter-Systems Ltd, which occupies three properties on the business park, added: “This is a substantial letting to an expanding company. I believe a strategic location combined with a good standard of property has helped achieve a swift letting. We wish Team-Tex continued success in the future.”
The Bardon 22 development forms part of the wider Bardon Business Park at Coalville and is already home to a number of big names including Eddie Stobart, Brantano and Waitrose.
