The Birmingham office of national law firm Browne Jacobson has grown its corporate team with the appointment of associate Mike Jackson.
Mike joins the firm’s 20-strong corporate finance team in the Midlands from DLA Piper, where he was a corporate associate. Prior to that, Mike spent four years in the corporate team at Wragge & Co.
With more than six years experience of corporate transactions, Mike specialises in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and joint ventures. He has advised individuals, finance houses, PLCs and multi-national corporations in a range of sectors, including technology, food and drink and business services. Mike has strengthened the team’s international capability, having acted on several large scale international deals with deal values exceeding £350m.
The appointment follows a successful 2011-12 for Browne Jacobson which saw the firm’s turnover rise by 17% to a record £41.3m and was been delivered without acquisition or merger.
Browne Jacobson’s award winning corporate finance team’s clients include both major national and international corporates, mid market and public sector organisations, investment houses and private individuals.
In 2011-12 the team advised on over 70 transactions with an aggregate value in excess of £700 million, across a wide range of business sectors. In the West Midlands the team acted, on amongst other deals, LDCs investment in Angel Springs Limited – the largest independent water cooler service provider in the UK.
