Savills Investment Management (Savills IM), the international real estate investment manager, has hired Michelle Sartorio as Global Head of Marketing and Communications. Based in London, she will report to Giuseppe Oriani, Co-Head, Client Capital.
A recognised industry expert in marketing, client strategy, investor relations and ESG investment, Sartorio joins the firm from KPMG where she was a Business Partner in its Markets & Growth team.
During her tenure at KPMG, Michelle held a number of go-to-market leading roles and provided counsel to its asset management, deal advisory and ESG practices. She also contributed to a number of thought leadership campaigns focused on the ride of alternatives to mainstream investments, ESG and Impact investing adoption and measurement. Michelle most recently acted as a global communications lead working with The World Economic Forum in its “Stakeholder Capitalism” initiative, where investment firms and corporates around the world committed to report on a set of universal ESG metrics.
Prior to KPMG, Michelle has held roles at Brookfield Asset Management as part of their global investor relations, communications and marketing team, and HSBC Global Asset Management within their global strategy team. She was also previously Head of Intermediary Marketing at LGIM.
Michelle is also an industry collaborator on major industry issues including Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) in financial services and vulnerable financial services customers, having worked with numerous initiatives and industry bodies such as TISA, SBAI, the Investment Association and AIMA. In her new role, she will sit on Savills IM’s D&I committee.
