Logicor, a leading owner and operator of logistics real estate in Europe, has announced it has let unit L49 at Liberty Park, Lichfield to credit hire and fleet management firm AX, on a new 10-year lease.
L49, a newly built 48,933 sq ft logistics and industrial building, is located in Lichfield on the A38 corridor, in the heart of the Midlands, approximately 16 miles north of Birmingham. The warehouse is certified BREEAM In Use – Very Good and has an EPC ‘A’ rating.
Liberty Park is very well located in an established industrial location fronting the A38, providing access to the M6/M42 and the M1 North. It also benefits from being very close to Lichfield Trent Valley train station and is adjacent to Britannia Enterprise Park, where local occupiers include DHL, Newell Brands, Florette, Tesco and Screwfix.
The Liberty Park site totals 32 acres, offering up to 440,000 sq ft in units from 40,000 to 310,000 sq ft. The first phase comprises unit L49 and another 117,184 sq ft unit – Lichfield 117 – which is available for immediate occupation. The remainder of the site will be built to suit.
Anthony McCluskie, Logicor’s Director, Asset Management, comments: “AX is a valued customer within the UK Logicor portfolio, and we are delighted to accommodate their business space needs.”
Mark Canning, AX’s Director of Property, says: “We have been working harder than ever throughout the global pandemic to make sure our customers have access to vehicles when they need them to safely continue their operations – mobility has never been more important. When the opportunity arose for AX to evaluate new locations for our Midlands facility, Logicor was the obvious first call. The UK team worked swiftly and seamlessly to identify and secure the space we needed to best service our valued customers.”
Avison Young and CBRE are retained as letting agents at Liberty Park.
