Pure Gym is raring to open the doors of its new fitness centre in Kingsway, Gloucester on April 14.
The new 15,000 sq ft facility was brought to Quedgeley by developer Robert Hitchins Ltd as part of the Kingsway Retail and Leisure Park.
The opening was delayed for several months because of the pandemic. But with restrictions lifted, new Gym Manager Jade Adlam is proud to be welcoming members at last.
“We’re so excited to be opening this fantastic new gym in such an up-and-coming area,” she said.
“We will be offering affordable, no-contract memberships to the people of Quedgeley and the surrounding areas. We have a huge range of equipment, a group exercise studio and changing facilities.
“Everybody is welcome and we can’t wait to open our doors to the community on Wednesday April 14 at midday!”
Michael Plimmer, Senior Development Manager for Robert Hitchins Ltd, welcomed Pure Gym to Kingsway.
“We’re delighted that Pure Gym can finally get going. It’s good to see successful companies offering long-term commitment to Kingsway and bringing more leisure and retail facilities to local people. We wish Jade and her team every success.”
Pure Gym sits in Newhaven Road alongside the new B&M Home Store with Garden Centre and close to the new Lidl store which both opened in November.
It represents another important step in the long-term development of Kingsway which has emerged on the site of the former 340-acre RAF Quedgeley. The original masterplan included 3,300 homes, a 40-acre employment site, community and leisure facilities, retail, sports area and primary school.
