NDI, part of FTSE 250 listed Grafton Group Plc, has taken a 10 year lease of the 14,259 sqft Core 5 unit at the prime logistics and business location Core 42 Business Park. The unit was developed by Hodgetts Estates in December 2020 and has been viewed by a number of companies looking for high specification space in the Tamworth area.
Grafton Group Plc have taken the unit to facilitate the expansion of their existing businesses in the Midlands after announcing a strong recovery in profitability in the second half of 2020, particularly from residential repair and improvements markets across the UK.
This letting leaves only the 31,300 sqft Core 4 built and immediately available to let at the business park, although there is some 19 acres of additional development land.
Development Director Edward Hodgetts said, “This is positive news in uncertain times and we’re pleased to welcome Grafton Group to the business park alongside existing occupiers Greencore Group and Bond International. Grafton Group will bring more skilled employment opportunities to the area and we’d like to take this opportunity to thank North Warwickshire Borough Council for their support for this scheme.”
With this news, the Core 42 Business Park scheme now supports in excess of 250 jobs with a large number of employees commuting by foot and bicycle from the nearby areas of Dordon and Polesworth.
To date, Hodgetts Estates have constructed and let over 305,000 sqft of new business space at the prime logistics location Core 42 Business Park. Local occupiers to the area include Aldi, Instarmac, OCADO, Volkswagen, Sainsbury’s, Fedex, and UPS.
Interested occupiers should contact Edward Hodgetts direct or agents Richard James-Moore or Carl Durrant at JLL and Adam McGuinness and Nick Waddington at MWRE.
