Harborough District Council would like to invite you to the Launch of the Invest in Harborough District brand on Friday 1st March 2019.

Market Harborough is under an hour from London by train and has a vibrant town centre with heritage and culture opportunities; plus access to excellent schools and nearby universities, and access to Superfast Broadband. It is a great location with easy access to major roads, rail and air connections and within 3 hours drive time of 85% of the English population?
They are just some of the reasons why Harborough District is such an attractive place to live, work and play, and that’s why Harborough District Council has created a website and information pack to encourage businesses to ‘Invest in Harborough District’, to increase the district profile, and ensure the district is at the forefront when businesses are looking to invest and grow.
You’ll see a preview of the new Invest in Harborough District website and video, and hear about plans to drive Inward Investment and what support is available to businesses and employees.
Fidelity Group, who are one of the UK’s fastest growing communications providers, will be sponsoring the event, along with Buddy OHM. We are currently in the process of installing the Fidelity Group & Buddy solution into The Symington Building. Buddy Ohm, is a simple, complete and low cost solution for monitoring the consumption of key building resources. Fidelity Group and Buddy will talk about how the Council has invested in this solution and how Buddy can help businesses reduce their environmental impact.
In addition, you’ll hear from Mark Oakley, Director of Inward Investment and Place Marketing, Leicester and Leicestershire’s place marketing team who will be sharing what his team have been involved in.
This event will be an opportunity to hear about the exciting plans the Council has for the Invest in Harborough District brand, and how to make sure the District has a strong and vibrant economy. There will be a range of guests attending the event, from property agents to developers, so it’s a great chance to network and engage. Don’t forget your business cards!
Cllr Neil Bannister, Leader of Harborough District Council, said: “I am really excited to welcome businesses to this event, to officially launch the ‘Invest in Harborough District Brand’. It will be a great way of showcasing the work that the Economic Development team have been working on over the last few months and hear about plans on how to drive Inward Investment, and support available for local business. In addition, it will be great to hear from Fidelity Group Ltd, our event sponsors, and the work that Mark Oakley has been involved in. I look forward to welcoming you on 1st March at Bruntingthorpe.”
