High street giant Poundworld has joined retailers including TK Maxx and Waitrose at Nottingham’s Trinity Place development.
The retailer opened the doors at a new 12,500 sq ft store at the mixed use scheme earlier this month after relocating from nearby intu Victoria Centre.
Owned by Aviva Investors, the Trinity Place scheme has undergone a renewed surge of interest over the last 12 months with a number of deals being agreed with national and independent occupiers.
Ben Taylor, head of retail agency at Innes England, is working as joint agent at the scheme with London-based Jamie Simister of Jamieson Retail.
He said: “Since our joint appointment last year, we have managed to secure five lettings amounting to approximately 30,500 sq ft. We have attracted a range of independent and national retailers to join what is already a thriving mix of restaurants, retailers and coffee shops including TK Maxx, PC World, Caffé Nero, the Pudding Pantry, Cosmo and Waitrose.”
Two units remain at Trinity Place, comprising a 3,900sq ft ground floor unit and some 14,500sq ft on the first floor with the capability of escalator access to an open-plan floor. Both have planning consent for A1, A2 and A3 use, which includes shops, banks and restaurants.
Ben added: “The scheme has been hugely popular over the past year and only units six and seven remain. Positioned between PC World and TK Maxx, and opposite the new restaurant cluster, they both offer prime locations in the city centre.
“The units are available either separately or combined and we have already have a number of interested parties.”
The new Trinity Place Poundworld store has already hit the headlines after being stripped of all its Disney Frozen merchandise within ten minutes as shoppers were eager to grab a Christmas bargain.
